     Deborah Smith was born on 29 April 1824.2 She was the daughter of Samuel Smith and Mary Willis.2 Deborah Smith is also recorded born on 27 April 1824 in Catskill, New York.1 She married Clarkson Taber, son of Daniel Taber and Rebecca Nicholls, on 17 April 1851 in Westbury, New York.1 Deborah Smith died in April 1914 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.1
     Deborah Smith was a Quaker.3 Deborah Smith was also known as Deborah Smith.2 She met for worship at at New York Monthy Meeting.2 She was with an unknown person on a certificate in January 1832.2 She was with Mary Willis on a certificate to Westbury on 7 January 1848 from New York Monthly Meeting.4 As of 17 April 1851,her married name was Mrs. (Smith) Taber.1 Deborah Smith met for worship at at Litchfield Monthly Meeting, Litchfield, Maine, before 1854.5 She met for worship at at New York Monthy Meeting in 1854.3 She and Clarkson Taber with William Clarkson Taber, Carrie Taber and Nellie Taber had a certificate sent to at Toledo Monthly Meeting, Toledo, Ohio, on 7 January 1874.5 Deborah Smith met for worship at at Toledo Monthly Meeting, Toledo, Ohio, on 7 January 1874.5 She became a widow with the death of her husband, Clarkson Taber on 15 April 1878 in Sterling, Kansas, at age 55.1 Deborah Smith was received by request in December 1880.5 She had a certificate to at Sterling Monthly Meeting, Sterling, Kansas, in March 1889.5
